Recycle: TRex Plastic Bags

In 2019 we started recycling plastic grocery bags through the TREX program. Each month we select various ways to recycle the bags.

We have 3 cardboard collection boxes around our building for students and staff to drop off plastic shopping bags. Each month we count and weigh the bags before recycling them

We have donated bags to a group that makes Plarn blankets and pillows for the homeless from the bags. We also gave thousands of bags to Harvest Hope to use to distribute food to families. Students then went on the morning show to teach others how we recycle the bags and why we recycle the bags.
