Jeremy Ludemann is in his fourth year as an educator at Richland Northeast High and is the lead teacher of the CavPlex Convergence Media Magnet, where students learn the fundamentals of journalism and creative media in the 21st century. Ludemann teaches Journalism I-IV magnet classes and AP Psychology - he also serves as lead advisor for Tapestry literary-arts magazine and the RNE-TV Live daily broadcast. He also co-advises The Saber online news and The Archive yearbook within the CavPlex magnet. Before entering education, Ludemann worked as the afternoon news host and reporter for South Dakota Public Broadcasting and as a reporter/newscaster for WOUB Public Media. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude from The College of Wooster and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Coastal Carolina University. Ludemann has also completed more than 30 graduate hours at Ohio University's E.W. Scripps School of Journalism.
Leslie Dennis is in her second year as an educator at Richland Northeast High as a journalism instructor in the CavPlex Convergence Media Magnet, where students learn the fundamentals of journalism and creative media in the 21st century. Dennis teaches Journalism I-IV magnet classes and serves as lead adviser for The Saber online news site and The Archive yearbook. She also co-advises and the RNE-TV Live daily broadcast and Tapestry literary magazine within the CavPlex magnet. Before teaching in public school, Dennis worked with Scholastic Media Organizations at the University of South Carolina College of Information and Communications as assistant director and director for over 15 years. In 2018, she received the James F. Paschal Award from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association at Columbia University for her work with scholastic media education. She has also received the Elizabeth B. Dickey Distinguished Service Award and Leslie Dennis Heart for Diversity Award (which was created in her honor) from SIPA. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature with a Creative Writing concentration and a Master of Arts degree in English Literature from the University of South Carolina, attending the Honors College for her undergraduate degree.
