Problem Statement

The project consists of an institute under the name of "Mies Van der Rohe" in honor of the architect with the same name, which was used because he is one of the greatest representatives of minimalism and is what is sought to transmit, the project is oriented to minimalism, under a conceptualization of functionality, The project seeks to create a pleasant student environment, where the staff and the students feel in a pleasant and comfortable environment to carry out their activities in the best possible way.

General objective:

• Design a private educational institution taking into account functionality as a guideline to respond to the needs of its socioeconomic context, efficiently serving constantly growing communities.

Specific objective:

• Address the academic need for quality in the constantly growing communities within Santa Tecla and surrounding municipalities.

• Offer first-class facilities that contribute to the personal development of users and facilitate daily activities.

• Take the functionality of the project as the main guideline, proposing a modern, eye-catching, environment-friendly option and combining different Latin American references that contribute to cultural development through the design of spaces.

• Efficiently and responsibly implement the ensemble with the urban space, contributing to the aesthetics of the area.

The scarce academic offer in the western area of ​​the municipality of Santa Tecla, department of La Libertad and the response to the need for quality academic services in the studied area that responds to the need for housing growth areas within and near the municipality.

Currently in the municipality of Santa Tecla, quality private educational institutions are located in the center of the city. Taking into account the growing housing development that the municipality has experienced in specific areas, including the west, constantly growing communities and housing development within and outside the municipality of Santa Tecla, where an option is proposed for the design of accessible academic services. and that they respond to the growing demand.

It is important to understand the constant and progressive development within the area that is intended to intervene, knowing the increase in housing projects gives a vision of the increase in demand for services, both academic and quality. Institutions that provide such services and that present first-class facilities accessible to all groups, that allow the development of student and daily activities in an easy way, close to the city and areas of constant growth.
