You are invited to apply to be a member of our school’s amazing Link Crew Leaders! I believe you fit the profile of a potential Link Leader and a person who could help us take this program to the next level in the 2019-2020 school year. Link Leaders are upperclassmen who are good role models for younger students who demonstrate leadership skills. Link Leaders’ communication skills, leadership potential, responsibility, and personality have helped them be successful in different ways in the high school environment, and the lessons they have learned should be shared to help others succeed. You could have a tremendous influence on our new students and you will learn many valuable leadership skills in the process. Plus, it will be fun!
What does a Link Leader do? Link Leaders are trained to work with the incoming freshman class and other new students who are entering our school next fall. After the extensive training, the Link Leaders will run freshman orientation before school starts in August. At the orientation, each leader will be given a small group of freshmen to work with that day and you will be asked to befriend and help them during the first week of school with any challenges they may face. Periodically during the school year, Link Leaders will meet again with their student groups to touch base, discuss problems, and plan social activities. We know that the more contact a freshman has with their Link Leader the more successful they will be. High school is a jungle and they need your help navigating it! There will also be rewards and fun activities for the Leaders in return for their hard work and dedication. Sound fun? Fill out the attached application by 2:30 pm, April 12, 2019.
