Recovery Options
Have you struggled academically and need to recover credits?
We offer several credit recovery options for students. Please review the information below and reach out to your counselor if you would like to sign up.
APEX is an online recovery option. There is no live instruction and you move through modules, reading passages and taking quizzes. Students are expected to sign in daily in order to progress in a timely manner. You can recover multiple classes through APEX, but will work on one class at a time.
8th period credit recovery is offered after school during the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th quarters. Students attend class two hours after school Monday through Thursday (or Tuesday through Friday) for approximately 7 weeks. Attendance is mandatory and students will be dropped after two absences.
Typically, we offer 2 Summer School sessions during the month of June. Each session is nine school days long. During Session 1 students can recover a Semester 1 core class. During Session 2 students can recover a Semester 2 core class. Summer school is usually intended for credit recovery, not to get ahead.
Mindset is HUGE, if you walk into class thinking " this class is hard and I am never going to pass" then you are right! If you walk into class thinking "this class is hard but if I do my best I'll pass" then you are also right!! Mindset affects every aspect of our life not just academics.
Even Kobe missed some shots.... life is about making mistakes, failing and learning how to adapt. Looking at your current mindset can be so helpful; your counselor would love to help guide you towards a more growth mindset all you have to do is speak with us!
