Instrument Repairs

While there are multiple options in the Rock Hill area for instrument maintenance and repairs, the Rawlinson Road Middle School Band partners with Roper Music in order to provide affordable and efficient repairs for all students. Here are the steps to having your instrument repaired when needed through Roper Music. 

1. Let Ms. Johnsonknow that something is wrong with your instrument. Do not try to DIY repairs at home. This often makes the condition of the instrument worse. Ms. Howard will assess whether or not the instrument needs to be sent for repairs.

2. Collection of instrument. Roper Music will come by RRMS and pick up broken instruments regularly. Your instrument will be picked up and assessed for damage.

3. Assessment and Repair. Once the instruments arrive at Roper Music, their skilled technicians will check the instrument's condition. Roper Music provides free quotes on all repairs. If the cost of the repairs is estimated to be under $50, Roper Music will proceed with the necessary fixes to ensure the instrument is in excellent playing condition. Their goal is to minimize any inconvenience for students.

4. Communication with Families. In cases where the cost of repairs exceeds $50, Roper Music will promptly notify you if the instrument requires extensive work. Roper Music understands that unexpected expenses can be a concern, so they will provide a detailed quote for the necessary repairs. This transparency allows families to make informed decision about your child's instrument. You will receive a call of email to discuss the price of repairs. You will be sent an invoice by email which can be paid online or over the phone.

5. Repair and Return. After receiving approval from you (if cost of repairs exceeds $50) the Roper Music technicians will begin the necessary repairs. Roper Music's commitment to quality ensures that the instruments will be restored to optimal condition. Once the repairs are complete, the instruments will be returned to the school.

At the beginning of the school year, Rawlinson Road Middle School will host an instrument rental night through Roper Music. Representatives from Roper Music will come to RRMS and offer various, high-quality instruments for students to rent out or purchase.
