Canvas Studio

What is Canvas Studio?

Canvas Studio is a video platform embedded into Canvas that allows teachers to create short screencast videos. The platform also allows teachers to formatively assess student understanding.

Why do we need it?

Canvas Studio can be used for teachers to pre-record video inside Canvas for students to view. It allows teachers to formatively assess content while students are viewing the video. Grades from the assessments pass directly into the Canvas gradebook. Videos can be sorted into collections by topic.
