Logging Into A Device
Initial Device Login
After Powering your device on, you should come to the login Screen.
First, select the network icon, select your network, enter any needed information and connect to your WIFI network:
If your device is logged in as another user, choose the “Other User” icon on the left.
Enter your student username and password after clicking other user
(Student Username is in the format AB12345, Password is the 7 or 8 digit Date of Birth)
Depending on your device’s configuration, you may see two sets of screens.
Your device may go into a setup phase that can take up to an hour. The device is downloading applications and setting itself up.
IMPORTANT: If your device fails during this, do not panic. Simply turn it off by holding the power button down for 5+ seconds, then turn it back on. You should be able to log in and everything will be set up!
For those that get this screen, once you are logged in, set up is complete. Your student will simply put their password in each day to log into their computer.
Some users may get this series of screens. Simply allow them to process and set up is complete.
Logging into Google Chrome
Student devices are required to Log into the RHSchools.org Google accounts. Follow these directions to set this up:
Launch Google Chrome
When Chrome is launched, you will get this series of dialog boxes:
Select Person 1.
Next, you will get a sign in to Chrome box.
Enter studentusername@rhschools.org for the email or phone. If you enter ANY other address (Gmail, rhmail, etc), this process will error out. The student username is the same username that is used to log into the student device (typically in the format AB12345, so enter AB12345@rhschools.org).
Enter the student password. This would be the student’s Date of Birth in an 8 digit format. (MMDDYYYY).
Select Yes, I’m in when prompted to Turn on sync.
