Class Dojo

What is ClassDojo?

ClassDojo is a school communication platform that teachers, students, and families use every day to build close-knit communities by sharing what is being learned in the classroom home through photos, videos, and messages.

Rationale for acknowledging students for engaging in behavior expectations:

To learn, students require regular and frequent feedback on their actions students experience frequent feedback from others, themselves, and their environment. Without formal feedback to encourage desired behavior, other forms of feedback shape undesired behaviors. When using ClassDojo students will be receiving communication about both their positive behaviors. This will help them to better monitor their own behavior.

How class Dojo Points work:

Students will earn dojo points based on the positive behaviors that are seen in the classroom and in the school. For example: helping others, and walking quietly in the hallway. Homeroom teachers will allot points via classdojo. Teachers can award non-roster students points via email to homeroom teacher.
