Preparing 5th Graders

School counselors visit 5th grade classes at CLS to talk about their upcoming transition to BMS. They learn how to use a lock, talk about the schedule change, while also discussing building positive learning and social habits for their future success. 5th graders are invited to tour BMS and speak to current students, in the Spring of their 5th grade year and are welcomed back for the Walk Your Schedule night in late August.

Preparing for High School

School Counselors visit 8th grade classes to teach students about what to expect as 9th graders, how to select courses, and what is required for graduation. In addition, families have the opportunity to attend an 8th Grade Parent night to learn more about the RHS Guidance program. In the spring, RHS counselors meet with incoming 8th graders to develop their schedule.
