Developmental Psychology is designed to provide students with critical knowledge related to the behaviors and thought processes of people from conception through death. Students will develop an understanding of human nature though the examination various works by developmental psychologists.The course will discuss the basic physical, cognitive, and social processes during each age period and the external influences affecting these processes.This course should also help students to relate knowledge about how humans develop not only to careers in psychology, but also to many others such as teaching, nursing, medicine, social work, education, law enforcement, and parenthood.
Students may earn three (3) college credits for (PSY 212: Lifespan Development) through EasternConnecticut State University if a “C” or better is earned in the course. Students must register for this opportunity by the deadline and are responsible for all fees. Upon successful completion of the course, students can request a transcript, and credits may be transferable to other institutions.
