This course progresses from the foundation of biology and focuses on the effect of exercise on human anatomy and physiology and includes topics on human anatomy, exercise physiology, fundamentals of applied kinesiology, nutrition, and the physiology of training. Topics relating to the role and scope of the personal trainer will include integrated fitness training, exercise for special populations, injury prevention, leadership, motivation, and teaching as well as professional responsibilities of personal trainers.
