This course focuses on the two most common welding methods for the home hobbyist welder; SMAW or “Stick welding” and GMAW or “MiG welding”. Students will leave this class with an in-depth understanding of the dangers of welding as well as proper protocols and procedures to mitigate these risks, a working knowledge of welding theory, and basic competency in two welding techniques. OSHA regulations and procedures will be taught and followed by all members of the class.
