This course is designed to give students an understanding of the materials used in the Construction and Manufacturing industry. The emphasis will be on wood and wood composite materials. Emphasis will also be on craftsmanship and safe and appropriate use of hand tools and power tools. Students will develop woodworking skills through the construction of various projects that will require many facets of woodworking. OSHA regulations and procedures will be taught and followed by all members of the class.
