Manufacturing Technology II is a continuation course building upon manufacturing principles learned in Manufacturing Technology I. The advanced manufacturing track focuses on the machines in the machine shop and how you would go about calibrating, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting problems. We focus on two different power delivery systems (electric motors and small gas engines) and the various equipment these power sources can be attached to. Important skills include, reading diagrams, finding part numbers, logically troubleshooting situations, how to use various diagnostic equipment to test for problems, sourcing replacement parts, and installing replacement parts. OSHA regulations and procedures will be taught and followed by all members of the class.
