Architectural Design

This course provides an introductory experience in the complexities of the building construction industry through the use of Autodesk REVIT, state of the art 3D modeling software. This software allows students to concentrate on the requirements of a residential building while easing all of the exacting detail work needed to complete a house plan. Students will have the opportunity to make a complete set of house plans and an architectural model of the structure. This course includes residential planning, structural design, methods of building construction, principles and elements of design, green building design, financing, rendering, model construction. This course relies heavily on computer technology daily. This course meets the graduation requirement for technology credit.
