An introductory course to black and white photography and use of 35mm film cameras. Units include lensless photography, fundamentals of developing and printing in the darkroom, and the principles of exposure and processing. Assignments focus on technical skills and self-expression. Students will participate in regular critiques and respond to cultural events impacted and/or documented by photographic history.
