Students in honors photography will be required to create a portfolio of 12 works or series over the course of the year. Work should be of a caliber suitable for presentation to art colleges. Additional writing, research and sketchbook assignments will be required. Students may work in the darkroom and/or digitally on a variety of photography styles and types including portraiture, abstract, street, landscape, and studio photography as well as experimental techniques and incorporating other 2D media.
SUMMER WORK
This class requires the completion of summer work, which is graded.
Students are responsible for attending a mandatory meeting to get summer work instructions from the instructor the semester prior to taking the class.
