In this course, students will be encouraged to explore a more creative approach to drawing. The focus will be on interpreting what is seen in more personal ways, portraiture, combining media, or attempting more challenging themes. Students will be required to maintain a sketchbook and complete written assignments as part of their coursework. Students attaining a B or better in this class are eligible to take Honors Art- 2D & Drawing and AP Drawing This course is strongly recommended for students planning to submit an art portfolio to colleges.
Students may earn three (3) college credits for (Art 352: Intermediate Drawing) through Eastern Connecticut State University if a “C” or better is earned in the course. Students must register for this opportunity by the deadline and are responsible for all fees. Upon successful completion of the course, students can request a transcript, and credits may be transferable to other institutions.
