High School Bands

Wind Ensemble

(1.0 credit) is for brass/woodwind students who have demonstrated advanced proficiency on their instrument. Open to grades 9-12; acceptance by audition only. See below for audition information.

Symphonic Band

(1.0 credit) is open to everyone who plays a brass or woodwind instrument and does not require an audition. The group is split into two periods for daily rehearsals and combines for concert performances.

Percussion Ensemble

(1.0 credit) is an ensemble consisting of only percussion instruments and is only open to percussionists. Students will rehearse and perform repertoire written specifically for percussion ensemble. In addition, students will learn and perform the percussion parts for Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble.

Jazz Band

(1.0 credit) is a select performance ensemble that explores a wide variety of jazz styles and eras. Open to grades 9-12; acceptance is by audition only; must be concurrently registered for wind ensemble, symphonic band, or percussion ensemble. Rehearsals are currently Thursday nights from 7:00 - 9:00 PM, but occasionally fluctuate as the schedule demands.
