History as part of the IBCP gives you the opportunity to develop your critical thinking skills as well as develop knowledge of internationally significant moments in history. To get the most out of the course you need to be an open minded student with the ability to ask questions and give your own viewpoint on past events and not just believe what your are told. You also need to be ready to learn and use the skills of a professional historian when investigating historical issues.

Two exam papers at the end of the two year course.
A 2500 independent investigation of your choosing.
5 GCSE at 9 - 4 (or equivalent) with a minimum of 4 in English and or Maths.
(Students that narrowly miss out on L3 entry requirements can still be accepted subject to decision of subject leader for the chosen course).
If successful on the International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme students can follow a pathway onto university, a high-level apprenticeship or straight into employment post-18.
