Primary Objective: The primary objective of this course is to assist students in becoming better communicators: better readers, writers, speakers, and listeners. The development of communication skills will prepare students for their future endeavors, both personally and professionally.
Course Goals: Students will be able to read and understand a variety of literature by American authors. The students will also be able to identify and complete various types of writing and will practice their knowledge as a part of their daily lives.
Course Description: English III is based on the study of American literature. Students will be asked to explore the literature in depth and are asked to challenge their own reactions to the text.
