Welcome Letter

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Welcome to Resurrection Regional Pre-School program. We are very excited to be teaching your children for the school year. Our class theme is to Share and Care. This is a wonderful topic for discussion at home. The most important thing we can do together is to reinforce an “I Can” attitude in your child. If we foster a positive image, your child can and will learn.

Here are a few things we would like to bring to your attention:

1. Arrival/Dismissal doors will be on Large Street and Shelmire Avenue. Doors will open at 7:45 am and the children will be dismissed from those doors at 2:30 pm.

2. Supplies needed to maintain organization, as well as cleanliness are as follows:

1 large school bag 1 hand sanitizer

1 lunch box and 1 dish rag/wash cloth 2 cans of Lysol wipes

1 sturdy folder 2 rolls of paper towels

1 box of baby wipes 2 boxes of 5 oz Dixie cups (smaller cups spill too easy)

1 box of tissues

If we are in need to restocking these items during the year, we will send home a letter asking for donations of the supplies.

3. A Healthy snack is needed every day for your child. Please make it size appropriate for your child. The children will be given water at snack time every day. Please no water bottles at snack time.

4. Your child will have lunch at 11:00-11:50 am. Please pack a lunch every day along with a small drink.

5. The uniform for Pre-K is the Resurrection Regional gym uniform and only sneakers. A complete change of clothes is needed in a Ziploc bag that is to be kept in your child’s backpack. (The change of clothes can be a set of play clothes.)

6. Please label anything you send in with your child’s name and room number.

7. When your child is absent, you will need to call the school in the morning and a note is required the day your child returns explaining the reason for the absence. If your child is sick in the morning, please use your better judgment before sending him/her to school.

8. Birthdays are a cause for celebration! Please feel free to send in a special treat for your child’s birthday. Please limit the snack to something small like cookies, munchkins or brownies. We ask that no cupcakes or cakes be sent in as the snack.

9. Communication is a key to a successful year for your child. Please do not hesitate to contact your child’s teacher with any questions or concerns. We both check emails in the evening. If there is an emergency, please call the school at 215-742-1127.

We appreciate your cooperation and support! We look forward to working with your children as well as with you!

Respectfully,

Mrs. Ann Lamplugh
