After a Covid-related hiatus, the Lewisburg Civic Association held its annual Meeting and Picnic on Sunday, October 24, 3:00-6:00 at the beautiful home and grounds of Fred and Susanne Dwyer. 63 neighbors signed into the meeting which was conducted from 3:30-4:30. In addition to the meeting, children made masks and decorated pumpkins, and everyone else socialized while sipping daiquiris and eating delicious burgers from the Creole Tomateaux food truck. The LCA collected $1124 in voluntary dues and spent $501 ( $204 - signs, $73 - flyers, $204 - tables and chairs rented, $20 - cookies). Kevin Edwards & his faithful picnic committee (Beverly Blackburn, Janet Cahanin, Susanne Cambre, Suzanne Edwards, and Nancy Picard) would appreciate any suggestions for next year’s picnic. We would definitely like a microphone so everyone can hear the speakers.
At the meeting topics of concern included debris pick-up, proposed development west of Lewisburg Estates and on Esquinance, and flooding. Members voted on officers and board members, electing the following:
Louis Robein
Joe Miller
Wayne Alleyne
Beverly Blackburn
Christopher Cappo
Janet Cahanin
Robert Kevin Edwards
Jason Gristina
Jim Hart
Donald Hunt
David Lawton
Nancy Picard
Robert Steffes
