About Us

Rescuer was started as the result of our Board President, Cory, seeking a way to reach those in need of Jesus Christ.   As a result of this seeking, God laid the idea on his heart to help those that have financial needs as a result of medical bills that they are not able to pay.  In Cory's words:

My faith journey has taken me to Central America, Africa, and even Asia seeking the next adventure and a clearer vision of God's purpose for me.  In the process, I've learned that I don't need to travel around the world or be ordained as a pastor to walk in God's plans.  God gave me a vision of how people can be called to him and his church by showing non-Christians His limitless love.

God has also shown me that this call to help people with medical expenses is not a duty, obligation, or sacrifice, but a favor that He is doing for me and my family, by allowing us to be involved in Rescuer.  Why would God call me to start a nonprofit ministry?  Here is what I've learned:  Why not me?  As Paul stated in his letter to the Philippians, "For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength."

God chose me to show His love and help build lasting, strong spiritual relationships for the kingdom.  If God calls us, He desires to and can use each of us.  Although our organization has been called by God to help others, God is truly my RESCUER for this opportunity.

Out of this desire of his heart, Cory reached out to business people in our community to see how this idea was accepted.  Based on advice he received, Cory and Kim, formed a board to help direct this effort and provide support, advice, and feedback.  501(c)(3) nonprofit status was received in 2020.
