Being a 1st generation Asian American immigrant has shaped my capacity to understand and appreciate the diversity and complexities of navigating uncertainty. I have realized that living means constantly evolving and adapting due to acculturation and life transitions, including grief and loss experiences, cultivating identity and purpose, and striving to connect within family, peer, and community systems.

I obtained my BS degree in Psychology from Westmont College in Santa Barbara, CA and then my MS degree in Social Work from Columbia University School of Social Work in New York, NY where I was privileged to work with diverse children with special needs and their families in Manhattan, Queens, the Bronx, and Brooklyn. Since 2007, I have worked with programs providing outpatient adult mental health (ages 18-65), Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA)/pediatric therapy for children with developmental delays, older adult day healthcare social work services, and community college Disability Support Services counseling for students.
Additionally, I am a Christian and actively involved in my local church and ministries, however, faith and spirituality would only be addressed and discussed when brought up and requested by the client to process and incorporate in sessions.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, going to the beach, drinking oat milk lattes, checking out local eats highlighted on IG reels, playing volleyball, attending concerts and local craft fairs, reading, and volunteering with church events and my mothers of multiples club.
