Welcome To Our Class Page
Forest School
Miss Madden is our trained Forest School practitioner. The Forest School approach enables children to learn new skills in the great outdoors. They are able to take age appropriate risks which will boost confidence and self-esteem while working as part of a team. Children must follow a basic set of rules however this approach is very child led and encourages children to develop at their own pace.
Nurture Group
Mrs Lacey runs our Oak Tree and Willow Tree nurture groups. These groups provide a small friendly environment which supports their social and emotional development. Staff understand that all language and behaviour is communication and encourage children to explore the feelings behind these. The group learn to work together and listen to each other effectively. The overarching aim of the group is to enable children to develop holistically.
Child Well-being Support
Miss McCulloch is our Child Well-being Support Officer and provides pastoral support on a 1:1 and group basis. Support can be offered for many reasons such as coping with loss, managing emotions and confidence building. Children will receive 10 sessions which will be tailored to each individual child. If you feel your child needs support or you just need some advice then pop in to see Miss McCulloch.
Mindful Bay
Mindful Bay is a lovely calming space for children to use when they need it. The room provides a multi-sensory experience with different lighting options, a sand pit, foot spas and a bed to relax on. It can be used to regulate emotions, build friendships, provide sensory stimulation and learn relaxation skills.
