Attendance incentives
In school we have a race track for attendance, each class has a car and at intervals there are prizes a class can win, these are class discos, time in Mindful Bay, iPad time, etc. Each day the class (or classes) with the winning attendance move a place on the track moving towards a treat for their class.

If we are concerned about your child's attendance, you will be invited in to school to meet with Miss Harriman and Kate Roach, in this meeting we can discuss any support that we can provide to make improvements to your child's attendance and it will be tracked for a period of time after the meeting and a follow up will be arranged to discuss whether their percentage has improved.
Persistent Absentees (PA)
When your child's attendance falls below 90% they are classed as a PA, if an improvement is not made a referral to Educational Welfare Services and the Educational Welfare Officer (EWO) will monitor attendance, when attendance does not improve, this can can result in prosecution in court and fines
