We are often asked if there is anything that needs to be done to prepare for your new garage door. The answer is, YES! Following these 3 steps can help ensure a wonderful installation experience.
Step 1 | Move Your Vehicles
If you park in the garage, be sure to move your vehicles to the street or far enough away on the driveway for the installer to back his truck up to the garage opening. Doing this allows plenty of space for our installation crew to load and unload large garage door sections on and off the truck without risk of damaging your vehicles.
Step 2 | Clear Out Your Garage
Move all items, storage bins, trash bins, equipment, and hanging items away from the front and sides of the garage. The garage should be clear from wall to wall a minimum of 10 feet back from the opening. This space is required for our installation crew to set up ladders and saw horses to build and install your new garage door.
Step 3 | Keep Out of the Garage
A safe and efficient installation depends on the concentration and focus of the installer. To avoid unnecessary distractions and potential injuries, we ask that you keep pets, children, and other people out of the garage while the installation technician is working.
