Step 1: Pass your relevant exams

After taking an exam complete the Exam Progress Survey. Click on the button below to keep us apprised of your progress.

Step 2: Apply for your Intern Certificate

Cost: $200

You will apply for your Intern certificate on PDE's Teacher Information Management System, or TIMS. Register for a TIMS account here. Step-by-Step instructions to register can be found here. Following registration, proceed to apply for your Intern certification. PDE must receive all of your passing exam scores in order to issue your Intern certificate.

Step 3: Complete Relay Coursework in good academic standing with a 3.0 GPA

Step 4: Apply for Instructional 1

Once you complete Relay's Alternate Route Program (at the end of your first year), apply for your Instructional 1 (see directions below).

Deadlines for Incoming Students (2021-2022 School Year)

8/1/2021

  • Pass Certification Exams and Apply for Intern Certificate

  • Upon receipt upload a copy of your content exam score and Intern Certificate to your checklist

6/30/2022

  • Complete Relay coursework in good academic standing with a 3.0 GPA

  • Apply for Instructional I Certificate
