Students will learn what a watershed is, ways water can become polluted and ways to help protect our water resources, using a 3-D watershed model.
Students will collect weather and cloud cover data using handheld weather meters. They will discuss how local weather can impact the larger watershed.
Students will play this watershed pollution game on a giant 8 x 12-foot game board. Students will learn sources of point-and non-point source pollution in the Niagara River/Lake Erie (NRLE) watershed as well as land uses that benefit the watershed.
