Enrollment Process

As an integrated preschool program, all children are admitted to The Collaborative Preschool. 

Children with special needs (children with identified developmental delays) are referred to us by outside agencies or are identified through our screening process. They receive individual education programs (IEPs) and bus transportation is available to them. 

Children without special needs are considered “community children” and often serve as peer models in the program. Tuition is charged for community children and transportation must be arranged by the family.

The program seeks to keep a 50/50 ratio of children with and without special needs. Therefore the number of identified children dictates the number of community children positions we have available. Community children are selected through a lottery system.
