How did the war begin ?
The War started because Germany were angry about losing the first war and lost their land ,army and money. They wanted to prove how good their county was so they decided to invade Poland.

What did women and men do in the war ?
Most women stayed at home and took over the jobs the men would have done if they were home.
Men had to take part in the war unless they had already fought in WW1 and would have the choice if they wanted to participate again or they could be doctors, teachers or work on railways, farms.
