A run
Clear breath cleaved my lungs-
heaving breaths, hammering heart.
As I ran away
from the sorrows of my life,
from the dark depths of my soul.
This photo shows the “Old Red Brick Road” in Redmond. This section of road was once part of the Yellowstone Trail, which was the first transcontinental automobile road in the Northern United States, connecting Seattle to Boston.
