National Honor Society (NHS) and California Scholastic Federation (CSF) are voluntary academic clubs on campus. Specific information about each club is outlined below.
Membership for CSF will begin the on Monday, 9/23/24 and remain open for 10 school days. Students are encouraged to review qualifications in order to determine eligibility. CSF is voluntary and not required by any student. Students are NOT able to join for the semester after the membership window closes. A copy of the students most recent report card/transcript is needed to apply. Students can print prior report cards from the Aeries portal, in order to show proof of academics.

National Honor Society applications are now open from Monday, 9/23/24 to Friday, 10/18/23 at 4:00 PM. Students must have a minimum 3.0 GPA to apply AND have completed at least 15 hours of community service. To remain in good standing, students must complete 15 hours of community service each semester.

CSF stands for the California Scholarship Federation, which is an academic recognition of students not based on GPA but rather, courses taken, and in turn, grades earned.
Eligibility begins in 10th grade for students who are attending REVHS and who meet the requirements. Students must apply every semester and be approved based on their classes and grades. To check grades refer to the information below. 9th graders may apply to be honorary members second semester of 9th grade year (using 1st semester grades). Honorary members do not pay dues.
CSF requirements include:
Points:
Minimum of 10 points, based on points for classes within different lists
A=3 (weighted A = 4);
B = 1 (Weighted B = 2)
C = 0
D/F disqualified for the semester
The first 4 points must be from List I
The first 7 points must be from List I and List II
The remaining points may come from List I, II, or III.
Copies of course designation by List can be found to the right or on the application.
No points for PE, TA, repeated classes
Max of 5 classes used for points
A max of 2 points can be earned for weighted courses
Dues are $6/semester
Graduation Regalia:
Students that have been members for a minimum of four semesters in 10th-12th grade, will receive a cord to wear at graduation. Students that have been members for six semesters in 10-12th grade, will receive a sash to wear at graduation. Students must have a minimum of 1 semester from 12th grade to be eligible for cord/sash
Applications for membership are available the third week of each semester, and the membership period remains open for ten (10) school days. During the membership window students must (1) complete the application, (2) include proof of semester grades, and (3) pay semester dues of $5 to the finance office. To finalize an application, the membership form, semester report card, and receipt from the finance office must be turned in to the CSF advisor by the end of school on the 10th day of the membership window.
Once the membership window closes, students are not able to go back and apply for previous semesters.

NHS is a voluntary club at REV. Eligibility begins in 10th grade for students who are attending REVHS and who fulfill the four pillars of the National Honor Society. Member dues are $6 per semester, paid to the finance office.
Members are required to fulfill the four pillars that are outlined below.
Scholarship: Students must have a minimum 3.0 academic GPA for the previous semester. To check grades refer to the information below.
Service: This requires voluntary contributions made by a student to the school or community, done without compensation. 30 Hours are required per year (15/semester). Hours are based on the semester prior to membership (August application would have hours completed from January to August). Students that need special consideration to complete hours should speak to the NHS Advisor.
Leadership: Student leaders are those who are resourceful, good problem solvers, and idea contributors. Leadership experiences can be drawn from school or community activities while working with or for others. Examples include: Sports, clubs, ASB, club officers, captains, or any extra-curricular activity with leadership
Character: The student of good character is cooperative; demonstrates high standards of honesty and reliability; shows courtesy, concern, and respect for others; and generally maintains a clean discipline record.
