Energy Expo

1-12-2024

The 7th grade students at Brandywine  Springs School had the opportunity to attend an Energy Expo that featured conservation and energy efficiency. The showcase featured various topics aimed at empowering students to implement practices that reduce their energy consumption and, consequently, lessen their carbon footprint. Community representatives from Practical Energy Solutions and Green Building United presented insightful discussions. The inspiration for the expo originated from an energy audit conducted by Brandywine Springs School students in February 2023. This audit provided valuable insights for both students and staff, shedding light on our school community's energy consumption patterns.  The Energy Expo marked the commencement of our "Little Watts, Big Impact" informational campaign, aiming to contribute to the reduction of energy consumption at Brandywine Springs School. The campaign also seeks to extend these sustainable pracices into the homes of our students.
