Design Part 1

From our interviews and research, we knew...

1) We wanted people to feel satisfied, calm, safe, respected, happy, included, in-the know, and good in our cafeteria.

2) We did not want people to feel grossed out, stressed out, rushed, sad, confused, or bleh.

Design Research:

We looked at pictures and put red spots where we felt by looking at the pictures.

This photo made me feel safe, but a lot of people felt stressed when they looked at this photo. They saw lots of people, yellow, brownish red, and white, and white circle tables.

Even though this photo of a cafeteria also has a lot of people, we saw black, green, and orange. We saw circle and rectangle tables. Most people in AL2 felt positive words when they looked at this photo. These photos made us realize the color of the walls and floor mattered.

Making Design Choices

In this activity, we made lists of what our cafeteria must have and what would be nice to have.
