Every year, the Québec government determines budgetary measures to fund various aspects of education. They are designated by the French word “mesure” followed by an identification number. The a priori mesures are paid to the school boards and centres de services scolaires to incorporate in their budget. The a posteriori measures are project-based. After a call for proposals (the usual dates are indicated below), various bodies (centers, school boards, etc.) submit ideas for approval, set up the project, and then report on its results to share the resources developed. Here is a brief description of the eight mesures that currently apply to the integration of technology in vocational training. It is within the RECIT VT team mandate to accompany you in the process of proposing a project.

This a posteriori mesure aims to finance the acquisition of equipment or the addition of space:
for projects that are currently ineligible under existing existing budgetary measures;
to promote the teaching of knowledge related to the development of vocational vocational training (or general adult education);
meeting specific, one-off needs for a given programme of study.
For funds to be spent over the 24-25, 25-26 & 26-27 school years, projects had to be submitted before January 15 2024. The call for new projects under this mesure has not been announced yet.
This a priori sub-mesure aims to finance:
the maintenance, replacement and purchase of information assets not covered by the basic allocation for investments (Mobilier, appareillage et outillage - MAO);
projects intended to generate efficiency gains in the educational institution's service offer or in the optimization of its technological infrastructures;
the acquisition of digital educational resources (REN).
The document RÈGLES BUDGÉTAIRES POUR LES INVESTISSEMENTS POUR LES ANNÉES SCOLAIRES 2024-2025 À 2026-2027 (published in July 2024) provides details.
The mesures under this rubric are not intended for the purchase of equipment or material (though they may include some money to that effect). They aim at liberating staff for projects, organizing training events, purchasing software and application licenses, etc.
Two former a posteriori mesures (15081 & 15192) are now grouped under a single umbrella.
This volet aims to stimulate the development of innovative practices and to deploy the potential of digital technology in an educational context whether in the youth general education sector, adult general education or vocational training. To do this, it financially supports educational innovation projects linked to digital technologies.
This volet aims to finance the implementation of projects related to the use of information and communication technologies to develop or consolidate the offer of asynchronous distance learning in study programs leading to a diploma in vocational studies (DEP), to an attestation of vocational specialization (ASP) or an attestation of professional studies (AEP).
For funds to be spent over the next school years (2024-2025), projects under this mesure had to be submitted before April 28, 2024. The up to date Guide de soutien for 2024-2025 for both volets is online.
This a priori mesure aims to finance the acquisition of digital educational resources to support the teaching, learning and evaluation of all learners, including students with adaptation or learning difficulties, and contribute to the development of 21st century skills in students (e.g. subscriptions to platforms or annual licenses). It concerns students in the youth general education sector, adult general education and vocational training.
This a priori mesure targets the professional development of the teaching staff, in the youth sector general education, in the adult general education and in vocational training, through in-service training activities on the use of teaching digital technologies. School personnel will thus be able to update and increase their skills and will be better equipped to continue integrating digital technologies into their school environment
This a priori mesure aims to support school boards in strengthening and improving the technical support intended for students, teachers and professional and technical staff (users) with regard to their use of digital technology in an educational context. It concerns the youth sector general education, general education for adults and vocational training.
This a priori mesure aims to strengthen the use of information and communication technologies in the delivery of training programs by adding professional resources to support teaching and pedagogical staff. It makes it possible to support the actions of the regional professional resources of the RÉCIT FP-VT with regard to the priorities targeted by the Ministry in terms of developing student skills through the pedagogical integration of digital technology.
This a priori mesure aims to support the business services of educational organizations so that they intervene with businesses to develop the skills of workers in vocational training. The support is intended for the basic financing of business services activities as well as the development of a short-term training offer aimed at developing workers' digital skills. Funding targets preparatory actions for training (portrait of businesses that could be targeted, business needs, canvassing, development of training, etc.). The mesure also supports the training of small groups in companies, which would make it possible to offer recognized and sanctioned training, thus opening the way to obtaining a first diploma.
