Learner Zone

This is where the learning happens! Learners complete a series of training topics that are designed specifically for them while earning points and playing games! This is where they can track their progress as they move through their learning PATH as well as see how they stack up against the competition on their team's Leader Board.

LEARNING PATH

TOPICS in the Path may be questions, a video, an online module...or a combination of all of 3.

Learners can complete as many topics as they want in 1 session, and in any order they wish (unless they are locked together). Click the GRAY ARROW to VIEW ALL topics.

The start topic button will simply launch the next topic in your list. (they do not have to go in this order)

POINTS are earned for each topic completed. If questions are in the topic, they must achieve 80% to earn the points. (for more on how Learners can earn point, scroll down to REWARD POINTS)

QUESTIONS: The questions in a Path will be Level 1 - basic recall multiple choice. After answering each question, the learner will be asked to rate their confidence. Each question also has a short explanation...don't skip it because it may include links to DISCOVER or hints to the answer for another question!

The questions are designed to teach vs. test, so a learner may not be required to complete a online course or read any training materials before they may just jump right in to answer questions. If they get it wrong, they are shown the correct answer and they'll be asked that same question again later when they reach Daily Questions. If they need more details on a topic, they can check out their training materials in DISCOVER.

DAILY QUESTIONS

When all PATH topics have been completed, the learner moves into DAILY QUESTIONS. Depending on how often they log in, the learner will get anywhere from 3 to 5 questions. (Log in everyday...3, skip a day or two...5). The questions they receive are based on how they have answered previous level 1 questions from their path.

Daily Questions include level 1 from their PATH as well as more complex level 2 (advanced recall) and level 3 questions (apply).

Periodically, new required topics will be added to the Learning Path, so the platform will “switch” back to Learning Path. As soon as the learner completes it, the platform will go back to Daily Questions.

GAMES

Learners can choose to play a game, or they can skip it and go directly to answering questions. After choosing their game, there are instructions & demo video to show them how to play.

The can also "make it interesting" by wagering an extra 10 points and CHALLENGING A FRIEND.

Click on the game you want to play and then click on Challenge Friend and search for people on your team.

EXTRA TRAINING

Extra Training is not required. Learners can re-visit any of their assigned topics to improve their score, but they do not earn reward points.

Learners will receive the Training Module, if available, (option to skip the module) and a Quick Quiz (5 randomly selected questions from that topic difficulty level).They can do different level questions and any videos or modules that are included.

REFRESHER TRAINING

Refresher topics will appear for a learner if they fall below 50% on a topic level. Like question topics in their PATH, they must achieve 80% to pass it. Learners earn reward points for passing refresher topics.

BROADCAST MESSAGES

Periodically learners will see a message appear as soon as they log in (not sent as an email). Broadcast messages can be sent to all brand, select brands, or even select learners. They will be sent by your Brand Team.

Restaurant Managers can also send messages to their team within the platform. (check out JOB AIDS & RESOURCES for the steps on how do it.)

REWARD POINTS

Learners will earn reward points for:

1 - Completing a topic

2 - Daily Questions answered

3 - Daily Questions answered correctly

4 - Survey questions answered

5 - Game Challenges won

6 - Refresher training passed

Leaderboard points are on a rolling 30 day schedule, so they will fluctuate.

Any points earned on the 31st day will drop off...but they don't disappear completely! A learner's points will always be accumulating in ALL TIME REWARD POINTS. This is so new members of the team can compete too!
