Helpful Information

Before a student can start classes in the Options Program (ALE), their parent/guardian must sign and return the following forms:

Options Program Requirements

Weekly Contact

Weekly contact can be met through classes, phone, email or google meets.  Contact between the parent and the teacher does NOT meet the requirement for weekly contact. The contact must be between student and teacher.

Assessments

Assessments will take place on campus.

Monthly Progress Reviews (student/parent/teacher)

MPR's are where you showcase the fun learning that has been happening at home. You can share projects, work samples, share a piece of music or dance you've been working on. It's a show and tell that we use for documenting progress of 27.75 hours of work.

Why do we need to do a monthly progress review?

The monthly progress review is used to determine if a students overall progress is satisfactory or unsatisfactory based on WSLP goals, samples of student work and unexcused attendance. If a student is determined to have made unsatisfactory progress for a month, the state requires an intervention plan to help the student meet progress. Unsatisfactory progress 3 months in a row forces the student to be withdrawn from the program per state laws.
