Intercom System at Main Door

All Visitors need to press the button on bottom right to inform office staff of arrival.

To ensure the safety and security of our students and staff, all parents/guardians/visitors planning to visit our schools during the school day are required to follow the district visitor procedures.

  • All visitors must have an appointment. Anyone wishing to visit the school and does not have an appointment should call ahead.

  • All visitors and volunteers must use the main entrance and ring the intercom to state their name and reason for entry. Students and staff will not open doors for any person at a doorway.

  • Once in the vestibule, visitors must state the purpose of their visit.

  • Visitors will be asked to present a valid form of identification.

  • Those without identification will be asked to sign in and remain in the foyer of the office or vestibule area until a principal can be consulted.

  • Visitor badges must be worn at all times in the building and returned to the main office upon leaving.

  • If there is someone in the hallway without a visitor or staff badge, district staff are expected to escort him/her to the main office to complete appropriate check in procedures. If staff are uncomfortable doing so, they will call office personnel for assistance.

  • A school visitor shall not be permitted to interrupt classroom instruction to speak with a staff member or his/her child unless the school principal grants permission due to an emergency.

  • Any visitor to the school whose presence or conduct is disruptive, or whose behavior, past or present suggests that he/she intends or is likely to become disruptive, may be requested to leave the school premises (Policy 9150). If the visitor so addressed does not withdraw, the Superintendent may summon assistance from the local law enforcement.

For the safety of our students, the district reserves the right to open and inspect all packages entering a building.

Please note that parents and guardians who are dropping off items for a student in the front office/entry way/bin, and who will not otherwise be proceeding into the school building, may do so without advance registration.

The district reserves the right to deny an individual entry to any school building when there is reason to believe that such individual's presence would be detrimental to the operation of the school and the learning environment.
