What is SEL?
What is SEL?
SEL stands for Social Emotional Learning and while many may think it's a new catch phrase or new educational trend it has actually been around for a long time. SEL is the process through which children and adults learn how to regulate their emotions, create healthy relationships, set goals, and make responsible decisions. Here at RMS SEL is beginning to be infused into the everyday classroom through our weekly Connection Circles, Counseling Lessons, and School-Wide assemblies.
