Assignment 4 - Photography Techniques
View the Slideshow for Photography Basics to understand the requirements for the different photographic types you will be using for this assignment.
Take 5 photos of each of the following techniques of photography below. For each picture record timing (aperture/shutter speed), lighting used, subject(s) in the photo, location taken. Use worksheet to keep track. Link to Worksheet
Upload all 40 pictures on your website into – label each group with all 5 photographs under each in a Gallery with your Shutter Speed and Aperture numbers for each picture.

Assignment 5 - Theme Project
You will now apply the knowledge you’ve learned from Assignment 4. You will create a compilation of new photographs which includes:
Choose a general theme for all of the photographs you will take – ie: friendship, nature, school, music, etc.
1 photograph that represents each of the 8 techniques of photography used in Assignment 4 – email these to your teacher to print in colour.
Write a brief analysis of each photo – explain why each photograph is a good representation of the type of photograph you are taking, as well as how that skill has improved the photograph.
Put all photographs and your short analysis of each photograph together onto a poster with the theme as the title. Remember general rules of composition when completing the poster, make it look good and keep it organized!
Upload each of your 8 photographs to your website as well as a photograph of your final poster
