Sometimes important actions need to be approved outside of the meeting schedule in order to expedite building priorities. As such, these approvals will not be listed in the meeting minutes but can be found here:
Remote Approval Process:
The motion is added to the Voting Record and the link emailed to all GC Members
Each member will be given one week to give input/discuss and/or cast thier ballot.
This one week online approval process counts as one "meeting"
The ballot of the individual members will indicate the vote of thier constituency by a majority.
One member ballot is the minimum needed to inform the vote of that constituency.
There must be a minimum of 4 constituencies voting to bind a proposal during the first "meeting"
If, at the end of the one week window:
4 constituencies have votes, the approval will pass/fail according to the votes of those participating constituencies.
4 constituencies have voted, but one group of constituency ballots includes a tie, the approval will be tabled until the next face to face meeting, as a constituency vote can not be deduced.
If a vote is tabled for 2 meetings a vote can bind on the third meeting without the required number of constituencies.
Meeting: A week long online vote and discussion, a regularly scheduled face to face gathering of the Governance Council or an emergency meeting as described in the Charter.
Ballot: The input of each individual member of GC, used to inform the vote of the constituency.
Vote: The outcome of each individual ballot, creating the vote of the constituency
