Advisor Stipends:
GC will be able to award stipends to club advisors who successfully complete the year by meeting the above criteria
(staff member(s), 10 meetings, submitted minutes, average attendance, forms, fundraising and approval) .
Advisor stipends not covered by stipulated stipend amounts will be determined based on the year average attendance of all successful clubs.
Advisor stipends are per club, NOT per Advisor.
GC will take the year end rounded average counts from all successful clubs (the units) and divide it by the amount of money available in the SAF stipend account and then divvy the funds up to those club advisors proportional to student attendance with the following CAPS:
Clubs with a year average attendance of less than 4 students Advisors share $0
Clubs with a year average of attendance 10 or less advisors share no more than $1,000 per club,
Clubs with average attendance of 11 or more, advisors share no more than $1,500,
5. Clubs that meet in addition to 10 times AND maintain an attendance average of 6 or more inclusive of the additional meetings are eligible to add additional units to their attendance average for each additional meeting - up to five units. Additional Meeting Units are not diminished by Attendance Average Caps.
6. There is no partial credit.
Example:
Mrs. Smith ran Art Club with Mr. Green
Art club met 10 times.
Their meeting attendance was:
Sept: 7
Oct: 10
Nov: 12
Dec: 5
Jan: 3
Feb: 8
Mar: 12
April: 4
May: 8
June: 5
The average meeting attendance was 7.4 (rounded to 7)
There were three other Clubs, Soccer Club, Dance Club, Chess Club and Gardening Club.
The other clubs had the following attendance averages: Soccer Club 8, Dance Club 11, Gardening Club 6, Chess Club N/A
Soccer Club met 12 times.
Chess Club has a stipulated amount of $1,500
All other clubs met the requirement thresholds to be a club
There was $5,000 in the SAF Account
The total number of units (8+11+6+7)= 32, (plus 2 additional units for Soccer Club) = 34
$5,000/34 = $147
Art Club gets: (7 Units) $1,029, however there is a cap of $1,000 as the average attendance did not break 10 – so Mrs. Smith and Mr. Green share $1,000. Soccer Club gets: (8+2 Units) $1,470, however there is a cap of $1,000 as the average attendance did not break 10 – so Mrs. Hill earned $1,000 + Two Units = $1,294. Dance Club gets: (11 Units) $1,617, however there is a cap of $1,500 as the average attendance did not break 10 – so Mr. Kelly and Mrs. Potts will share $1,500. Gardening Club gets:(6 Units) $882, So Mr. Garcia and Mrs. Franklin share the full amount, as average attendance was more than 4.
Total before caps: $4,998
Total after caps dispensed: $4,676
Returned to the district: $324
