The following information was organized and presented in April 2021 as The Pride of Rochester Marching Band returned to in-person rehearsals. Please continue to monitor all current CDC, MCDPH, and RCSD Guidelines

Rehearsals will take place at the marshall campus

108 Ridgeway Avenue

Please use the back parking lot, accessible via Primrose and Avis Street.

2021-2022 New Member Application

If you have recently joined The Pride of Rochester Marching Band but have never met with us in person for rehearsal, we need you and your family to complete a New Member Application.

Please note that we cannot allow new members to be on site without an application on file. Paper copies will be available for parents and guardians to complete in person. Paper applications will be available on site on Saturdays for new members.

PLEASE do not come to rehearsal if you are experiencing any of the following symptoms:

CDC Symptoms of Coronavirus
  • Fever or chills

  • Cough

  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

  • Fatigue

  • Muscle or body aches

  • Headache


  • New loss of taste or smell

  • Sore throat

  • Congestion or runny nose

  • Nausea or vomiting

  • Diarrhea



Arrival & Dismissal

All students should be dropped off and picked up in the back parking lot at Exit 9, located at the corner of Primrose and Avis Street.

Arrival is 8:40-8:55am

All students will have their temperature taken upon arrival. Please do not leave your child here until they have had their temperature taken.

Any students who do not pass the temperature check will need to go home.

Dismissal is at noon. Please park in the parking lot and do not block the exit to the parking lot.

PPE & equipment use

All students participating in rehearsal will be required to wear an approved face mask at all times during rehearsal.

Wind players will be provided with instrument-specific PPE, including instrument masks, bell covers, and woodwind bags.

District-owned instruments and equipment, such as drums, carriers, sticks, flags, and music stands and will be assigned to individual students. No students will be sharing instruments or equipment.

Transportation & Bussing

Students can be driven to and from rehearsal via personal vehicle, or travel via RTS.

All students must have their own means of transportation to and from rehearsals.

Carpooling is not recommended at this time, and transportation by staff is strictly prohibited.

Outdoor & Indoor Rehearsals

Every effort will be made to hold rehearsals outdoors to avoid congregating indoors.

6 foot Social Distancing will be adhered to at all times.

In the event of inclement weather, we will notify everyone in advance through Google Classroom, Cut Time, and Remind if rehearsals will be moved indoors.

Each indoor rehearsal location is large enough to accommodate the newly recommended 6 foot social distancing guidelines for band.

Materials to bring

Please come prepared to rehearsal with your instrument, PPE supplies, and a filled water bottle.

Students will be allowed quick breaks to drink water.

No food or beverages will be provided by the Pride of Rochester.

As always, please come prepared with school-appropriate attire, and sneakers for marching basics.

Bathroom Use & personal hygiene

One person will be allowed to use the bathroom at a time, located behind the auditorium and next to the gym. Please maintain 6 feet social distancing at all times. Wash your hands thoroughly and practice excellent personal hygiene.

Hand Sanitizer will be available for all students and staff to use periodically throughout rehearsal.
