The COVID-19 pandemic has affected educational systems worldwide, leading to the closures of schools around the country. Virtually all K-12 students in the United States missed face-to-face instruction due to COVID-19. Many parents and educators thus shared a common worry: When the pandemic subsides, kids will return to school with lower achievement. There are also concerns that the gap between high- and low-achieving students will become larger.
COVID-19 has forced all of us to re-imagine how we deliver an engaging and holistic learning experience for our students. While it presents its challenges, it is also a massive opportunity to break out of old habits and create new, impactful, relevant modes of learning that take advantage of technology and this moment. The purpose of this Leadership Summit will prepare you for the responsibilities ahead to support all stakeholders through this emotional and unprecedented time that we are facing.
Remember, we are RCSD STRONG!
