Join our A.W. Becker Community in reading for Ronald McDonald House Charities!

A.W. Becker is once again participating in the Read for Ronald McDonald House Charities program (Read for RMHC)! The program supports Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital Region (RMHC-CR), an organization dedicated to helping children and families, especially those struggling with childhood illnesses and injuries. They work to keep families together and close to the care that they need.

Students are encouraged to gather donations from family and friends in support of the reading they will do for the month of March. Donations raised will be used to support the families served by RMHC-CR.

Reading for RMHC-CR will begin on March 1st. Please encourage your students to participate in this valuable program! Last year, 14 A.W. Becker students participated in the program, earning $926.00. We hope to see even more participation this year! Program information has been sent home and is also available here:

READ for Ronald McDonald House is going greener in 2025-26! We are no longer sending home sponsor envelopes with students and instead, strongly encourage online donations. However, if you would like to send in a check, please complete the Sponsor Form and mail the form and payment directly to RMHC of the Capital Region, attn. READ for RMHC-CR, 139 S. Lake Avenue, Albany, NY 12208. Checks should be made out to "RMHC of the Capital Region."
