The Data Culture Workgroup existed as its own workgroup from 2019-2023. As a result of the evolving nature of the California school accountability system and with the overlapping nature of the work of the Data Culture workgroup. At the start of the 2023-2024 school year, workgroup members made the decision to integrate into the other regional workgroups to ensure that data literacy and data culture work continued to be present and prioritized in all improvement work across the geographic area.
