CAPACITY BUILDING WORKGROUPS
At the commencement of our Geographic Lead Agency work, the five county offices convened in Fall 2019 to collaborate around a shared theory of action. This collaboration resulted in the development of cross-county workgroups focused on key priorities in data culture, continuous improvement, and equity.
In Fall 2020, as the Statewide System of Support expanded to meet evolving local and statewide needs, the SoCal SOS continuous improvement workgroup transitioned from a single consolidated workgroup to two separate workgroups. This shift strengthened regional alignment in support of Data, Differentiated Assistance, and Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP), as well as the Comprehensive Support and Improvement process.
As the System of Support has continued to grow, the work has expanded to include additional focus areas, with dedicated workgroups focused on Community Schools, Multilingual Learners, and Universal PreKindergarten.
The links below highlight the ongoing efforts by each workgroup and their contributions to strengthening the broader educational landscape across California.
